Why E Six-Thirteen

E Six-Thirteen is named after the scripture Ephesians 6:13 – “Therefore put on the full armor of God so that when the days of evil come you will be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand”. Many of us have been guilty of trying to achieve success or make things happen for ourselves. Over the last few years God has impressed on us that this is not our battle to fight. This scripture reminds us that God calls us to put on his armor daily and acknowledge that there is a spiritual battle to be fought. However, we don’t have to fight the battle. All we have to do is stand. There are several examples of battles in the Old Testament where God called the Israelites to put on their armor and prepare for battle. However, God brought them victory and they never had to fight. (Exodus 14: 13-14, 2 Chron 20:13 – 17, Judges 7:19-22) E Six-Thirteen is a daily reminder to us that the battle belongs to the Lord.
